Wales supplier guide

Use Sell2Wales and Find a Tender together.

Welsh suppliers have a distinct two-service journey: Find a Tender is the Central Digital Platform, while Sell2Wales remains the Welsh opportunity, profile, alert and tendering service. Neither should be mistaken for a complete substitute for the other.

  1. 1
    Register on Find a Tender

Create the Central Digital Platform supplier record and obtain the organisation identifier Sell2Wales asks new suppliers to provide.

  2. 2
    Search and profile on Sell2Wales

Use the Welsh service’s notice search, alerts profile, public profile, projects and buyer records.

  3. 3
    Follow the notice’s response route

Open the documents and use the stated postbox, portal or buyer instruction; finding a notice is not the same as submitting a tender.

Where to look

Use each official service for the job it actually owns.

No portal name proves that every relevant opportunity is present.

Sell2Wales
The Welsh Government service for contract opportunities, alerts, buyer profiles, project pages, Quick Quotes, documents and responses.
Find a Tender
The Central Digital Platform carries Procurement Act notices for relevant Welsh procurements and holds the reusable supplier information shared into bids.
Both profiles
The services have connected but different jobs. A new Sell2Wales supplier first obtains its Central Digital Platform identifier, then completes the Sell2Wales public and alerts profiles.
The buyer’s documents
The official notice and attachments establish the actual scope, timetable, participation conditions and submission method.

Supplier workflow

Find, verify and respond without losing the source trail.

  1. 1

Set up the two official identities

Complete the Find a Tender supplier record, then register or update the Sell2Wales account with the required organisation identifier.

  2. 2

    Search beyond one keyword

Use work terms, CPV categories, locations, buyers, notice types and project pages; configure the alerts profile around the market you can serve.

  3. 3

    Check both publication views

A Welsh procurement can appear on Sell2Wales and the Central Digital Platform. Read each source trail rather than assuming one display contains every document or update.

  4. 4

    Respond where instructed

Use the Sell2Wales postbox or other portal only when the notice says so, and retain its notice reference with your bid record.

What Scout covers

Scout organises selected official records; it is not the official catalogue.

  • Scout has no independent Sell2Wales adapter. It directly ingests Find a Tender, Contracts Finder and Public Contracts Scotland only.
  • Some Welsh notices therefore reach Scout through Find a Tender, including records that name Sell2Wales as the submission route.
  • The number of Sell2Wales records that do not reach Find a Tender is unknown: Winston’s official API and populated bulk-download routes are currently unusable.
  • Scout is not exhaustive for Wales. Search Sell2Wales directly and verify the live notice, documents and response route before acting.

Primary sources

Verify the current journey at source.

Winston checked these official sources on 30 August 2026. Service wording and registration steps can change.

Use Scout for the Welsh records it can evidence.

Search Scout’s Find a Tender records for Welsh buyers and locations, then search Sell2Wales directly and keep the official response route authoritative.
